Thank you for taking the time to visit us.
Regulation 44 plays an important role in ensuring quality of care, supporting positive outcomes for children and your organisation. Getting it right matters.
If you’re reviewing your current approach, it’s important to have a professional partner you can trust, someone who brings experience, consistency and the confidence to support you.
We’d be pleased to speak with you, listen to your needs, and share practical advice and support where it’s helpful.
Our Regulation 44 service
Built on consistency, experience, and trusted relationships, giving providers the clarity, challenge, and oversight needed to continuously improve.

Critical Friendship
All our Reg.44 visits are based on solid relationships with the organisations we work with, so we can deliver constructive challenge and be partners on our homes’ journeys to improved Ofsted gradings.

A consistent and experience-led approach
Aidhour has a track record with over 28 years of working with children’s homes and of working to get organisations ready for Ofsted inspection. We provide a reliable, structured approach that removes variation between visits and supports clear oversight across services, we meet with providers quarterly and provide reports to inform corporate parenting.

Experienced, independent Visitors
Our Operations Director and both of our Lead Associates started their careers in residential work. We are not just delivering a service, we understand and we care about how homes care for children. And we look for the same qualities in our Visitors. Our safely recruited Visitors bring experience, confidence, appropriate challenge, and consistency to their visits.

Reliable and prompt monthly delivery, and an Open Door
Aidhour provides a responsive first point of contact for RMs and RIs / Residential providers. We provide completed reports to RMs within a week of the visit.

Expanding High Quality Provision for Children
We have worked with organisations to set up new provision and to considerably expand their provision.

At Aidhour, we also support improvement across a wide spectrum of services, working with looked-after children.
Reg 44 visits are one part of our quality assurance and improvement service. We also provide Independent Reviewing Officers and undertake quality assurance work with local authority social work teams. We visit supported accommodation, residential special schools and residential family centres. We are always helping services identify strengths, risks, and areas for development.
